not just for clandestine meetings

I have been wearing glasses since I was about seven.

For me, new glasses day was always THE BEST DAY, because back then my eyes were getting so bad so fast new glasses day meant everything would be better because I could see, and also NEW GLASSES.

Now it’s not as bad, but I was still rather excited about the slightly added sharpness and picking out new frames after I went to the eye doctor on Saturday. Except my father misremembered what glasses place his insurance covers, and, possibly, the insurance itself. So I have a prescription and no new glasses.

It is the worst thing.

( • thisby the wayis how bad my eyes are:the last time I went in to get glassesthe saleswoman looked at my prescription and then went ''oh you poor thing'' • )
