Further adventures in ruining the one bearable thing about being basically fucking blind. (Yes, I still call my father daddy. Don’t fucking blame me, that’s what my parents taught me to call him, obviously.) Three things: 1. I always mixed up LensCrafters and EyeMasters, but that will never happen again, because I will remember EyeMasters is the one that fucking sucks. 2. The mall in question is Valley View, and it is LITERALLY THE SADDEST PLACE I’VE EVER BEEN. It’s like an entire building dedicated to watching hope die. 3. The punchline to this cosmic joke is that I didn’t know if I wanted glasses or contacts this time (and there’s a different exam for each). So I asked my father which eyeglasses place his insurance covered (he said LensCrafters, obviously, and he was wrong), and I went to the mall and found a pair of glasses I liked and went “okay then! That’s settled. I’ll get glasses!” Except now Davis Vision doesn’t cover LensCrafters and if I went to EyeMasters instead, I would sure as shit have gotten contacts. Fuck everything.
